Dominic graduated with First Class Honours from Queen Mary University of London in 2021.
He has assisted the team in a variety of matters, including acting for shipowners in a conversion claim, acting for a buyer in a SIAC arbitration concerning the non-delivery of bulk cargo, bunker disputes and vessel arrests.
Dominic was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2024. During his pupillage, Dominic assisted in a broad range of matters including acting for a bulk cargo exporter in a marine insurance claim under the Institute Cargo Clauses, acting for a landowner in a compulsory land acquisition by the Selangor State Government, acting for a financial institution in its application to the Malaysian High Court for the transfer of non-performing loans and Islamic financings, and the winding up of a high-profile group of tech companies. Notably, Dominic assisted in obtaining restraining and convening orders in relation to the scheme of arrangement of Sapura Energy Berhad and its 22 subsidiaries – one of the largest corporate restructurings in Malaysia. During this time, Dominic contributed to the updating of the Subordinate Courts chapter in Atkin’s Court Forms Malaysia and the Malaysian chapter in Lexology’s In-Depth: Employment Law.
Outside of work, Dominic has volunteered with the Malaysian National Legal Aid Foundation, where he contributed to its walk-in legal clinic and assisted volunteer lawyers at remand proceedings. Dominic has also volunteered with the Queen Mary Legal Aid Centre where he provided legal advice to members of the local East London community.
Dominic is fluent in English and proficient in Malay.
